If you’d have told me even just a year ago that I would be promoting electronic cigarettes online, I’d have said you were a few smokes short of a full pack.

You see I’m your average Joe (er, Dave) type. I’m a husband and father, I have a job (several actually), I market online, and i just happen to smoke.

Because I’m a pretty regular guy (well, not pretty, but regular;-) I’ll speak to you in regular language instead of some polished sales pitch.

I have an agenda, but it’s a good agenda for both of us.

Let me tell you how I stumbled across this product.

As I said, I do some internet marketing, and as I was looking through some of the resources I use to find products to promote, I ran across the concept of electronic cigarettes.

In going over the sales literature provided to help me market their products, I decided to try them myself. As a rule, I don’t recommend anything I haven’t tried, so I picked up a starter pack.

I’m not easily impressed, especially with products attempting to replace my smokes, but this one was different.

You see, I gave up smoking in the house over two decades ago when my first child was born. I wasn’t too worried about 2nd-hand smoke back then, but I also wasn’t about to take chances with my kid’s lives (besides, my wife doesn’t smoke and didn’t want it in the house;-).

So for 23 years I’ve stepped outside, like the proverbial 2nd-class citizen, Spring, Summer, Fall, and the dead of Winter to enjoy my smokes.

With electronic cigarettes I don’t have to freeze my buns off anymore. I can enjoy a smoke inside the house again, knowing it’s not nearly as harmful to me, there is no second-hand smoke to contend with, and I’m not stinking up the house.

I also enjoy a good smoke when I’m out hunting and fishing, which places definite limitations on my success because of the smell. Now, I don’t have to worry about smoking out in the tinder-dry forest or packing out my smelly cigarette butts.

No smoke, no flame, no trash!

Something else that I really like about the electronic cigarette is that a lot of the time I don’t need a full smoke.    I only need a couple drags to tide me over.   With traditional smokes, there’s no way I’d stub out a perfectly good smoke just because I only needed a drag or two.   Sure I could (and did) re-light the butt later, but that tainted the taste

I enjoy smoking.    I may eventually give it up altogether, but until I make that decision (if I make that decision), e-smokes are the next best thing.

  • Now, I’m saving a few bucks.  The overall cost is working out to be quite a bit less than I was paying, plus this program and web site are starting to pay for my smokes.   (If you’re interested in having them do the same for you, check out how you can get involved .)
  • I’m not ticking people off  (not for smoking around them, anyway;-), and…
  • I’m introducing friends to an alternative that’s a heck of a lot better for them than conventional smoking.
  • I feel better, smell better, and I’m actually smoking less.    (As a side benefit, my car is beginning to smell more like a car than an ashtray.)
